Gas Line Update
Gas Line Update
First let me say that the safety of our staff and students is always our top priority. At no point has anyone been in any danger based upon the scope of the gas line issue. PSE&G, the Rochelle Park Fire Department, the Rochelle Park Police Department, the municipal Code Official, and our school administration have all worked cooperatively throughout this process. We thank and applaud our emergency and municipal authorities for their professionalism and attentiveness as together we work through this matter.
That said, we were very disappointed that the contractor did not satisfactorily rectify the gas line issue in the Media Center two weeks ago when the original problem came to light. Our whole goal has been to make the necessary repairs and get back to our normal business of educating students. To that end and in consultation with a number of professionals as well as the Code Official from Rochelle Park, we have engaged Triple P Plumbing & Heating, a very highly regarded firm with significant experience in these types of issues. A brand new external line will be run that does not run through the Media Center. Triple P will be on site tomorrow (Saturday, 12/2) and we hope to have this matter brought to closure swiftly.
I sincerely apologize for any concerns about safety this has caused in our community. For all of us who work and learn in this building each day, please know that we take safety very seriously. Your patience and understanding has been greatly appreciated. The administration and Board of Education will continue to keep the community well informed about this and other important situations or events in our district.
If you should have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at email@example.com or at 201-843-3120 ext 114.
